INDIA | What is Background verification for GEP? In which case I need to apply for this?
Background verification for GEP is a miscellaneous service provided via Passport Seva System to conduct vetting of the Passport and Police/Criminality check for Indian Citizens willing to enrol for U.S. CBP Global Entry Program (GEP).
If you have applied for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) GEP, you will have to apply for background verification for GEP via Passport Seva System to obtain clearance from Regional Passport Office within whose jurisdiction you currently reside. Online form filling feature for background verification for GEP is available on Passport Seva Portal.
